Materials & Safety Information

At Zivo Arts, we believe that art should not only be beautiful but also safe and durable. We use carefully selected, high-quality materials for all our 3D-printed creations.

1. Our Metals (Hooks & Posts)

We use premium jewelry-grade steels to ensure comfort for sensitive ears. Our findings are compliant with the EU Nickel Directive (REACH).

• Surgical Steel (316/316L): Known for its superior corrosion resistance and durability. It is the same grade used in medical implants and is highly recommended for sensitive skin due to its extremely low nickel release.

• 18k Gold-Plated Steel (304): We use 304-grade steel finished with a genuine 18k gold plating. This provides a luxurious look with the strength of industrial steel.

Allergy Disclaimer: While 316 and 304 steels are considered hypoallergenic and safe for the vast majority of people, they do contain trace amounts of nickel as part of the alloy. If you have a severe medical nickel allergy, please use caution. Discontinue use immediately if any irritation occurs.

2. Our 3D Material: PLA

Our jewelry bodies are primarily crafted from PLA (Polylactic Acid).

• Eco-Friendly: PLA is a bioplastic derived from renewable resources like corn starch.

• Lightweight: One of the best features of Zivo Arts jewelry is that even large, bold designs are incredibly light and comfortable for all-day wear.

• Care Note: PLA is a thermoplastic. To prevent warping, avoid leaving your jewelry in extreme heat (such as a car in summer) or direct, prolonged sunlight.

3. Safety Warning (Choking Hazard)

• Small Parts: Our jewelry contains small components (hooks, backings, and 3D elements).

• Age Restriction: These items are not toys and are not intended for children under the age of 3. Please keep all jewelry out of reach of infants and small children to prevent accidental choking.
